Tips for Valentine’s Day morning…….
It’s the same date every year, just like Christmas. Yet, also like Christmas, this day on the calendar, the 14th of February, always seems to take people by surprise. This year it falls on a Monday – which is worth mentioning, firstly, because it’s even easier to forget at the beginning of the week and, secondly, because it requires good advance planning.
And talking of which, the most important ingredients are: to keep a bit of time free for the entire period; to have a pretty and lovingly designed, personalised card; flowers go without saying, perhaps some chocolate and at least one shared meal is a must. Wine – if you want lots of music, check out our St. Valentine’s Playlist and maybe a film. Plus, even more relaxation, flirting, shared dreams, shared… I’ll leave the rest to the fantasy of the readers.
Because, most importantly, it’s got to be personal! And that means it’s got to come from your heart. Let’s plan our day through: wake up, Monday morning, turn over again. Oh no! That’s not right at all!
The planning begins the evening before: fill up the coffee machine and set its timer so that the coffee is ready when you get up in the morning. Then, either prepare breakfast the evening before or, at the very least, lay the table. This means not only getting the plates out, but also putting flowers or other decorations on them, using happy colours where possible – but not too much red because in the morning that can make people aggressive. Hearts are always good. And, at the place of your loved one, put the homemade card with the personal Valentine’s greeting….
