Whether or not they contain alcohol, cocktails are the perfect remedy after a long hard week at work or simply to sip and enjoy amongst friends. Though there are thousands of cocktail recipes all over the world, here we are going to concentrate on flower-infused cocktails. This is one way to combine an exotic flavour and visual appeal. With just a few bare essentials, practice and a dash of imagination, you will wow your guests with the originality of the drinks you offer them!
Aviation
Recipe:
– 4 cl gin
– 1.5 cl freshly squeezed lemon juice
– 1.5 cl Maraschino (3 bar spoons)
– 1 cl crème de violette liqueur
Orchid
Recipe:
– 2 cl vodka
– 2 cl orange juice
– 1.5 cl grapefruit juice
– 1.5 cl crème de framboise (brandy distilled from raspberries)
– 1 orchid flower
Pink Lady
Recipe:
– 4 cl gin
– 1 cl grenadine
– 2 cl freshly squeezed lemon juice
– A few rose petals
Lavender Fizz
Recipe:
– 5 cl white rum
– 2 cl sugar cane syrup
– 5 stems of lavender flowers
– 2 cl lemon juice
Tequila Rose
Recipe:
– 2cl tequila
– 2 cl strawberry syrup
– 6 cl milk
– A few rose petals

Needless to say, you’ll have to use edible flowers such as fuchsias, pansies, roses, geraniums, violets or even fresh herbs such as thyme or rosemary. Divide the flowers in a standard ice cube tray, add water and freeze.
