How to make an Easter Tree

Just like at Christmas time, you can have a tree at Easter too – although this one is decidedly more Spring like. Step 1 – First you will need some polystyrene eggs. Got them? Great! Let’s get started! It’s time to decorate them, be as creative as you wish, you can use paint, glitter, sequins even ribbon. Step 2 – Use a coloured ribbon of your choice, cut it into 10cm strips and attach it to one of the ends of the egg with a pin. Step 3 – Take a small branch with a spray of twigs attached and place it into a pot or vase to hang the eggs from. If you have any ribbon left over you can use this to decorate the twigs with little bows. Of course you don’t just have to stick with eggs, you can add any Easter embellishment you like such as chicks, chocolates and flowers.

Make a Simple Chocolate Nest

We know that this time of year is all about chocolate eggs but what about making your very own chocolate treat? It’s easy and a super fun activity for children as well. We guarantee that the whole family will love to make these spoon nests together! First you will need grease proof paper, spoons, chocolate, sprinkles and mini chocolates eggs. After you carefully lay out the grease proof paper, go ahead and start melting the chocolate. Step 1 – Dip a spoon into the melted chocolate and let it dry on the greaseproof paper. Step 2 – It’s time to add some chocolate sprinkles and place the mini chocolate eggs in the middle and leave to set. Voila! You have your very own mini Easter nests.

Easter Flower Display

Flowers are, of course, the ultimate springtime staple so; why not decorate your dinner table with spring blooms? You can make a big display or you can leave small pats or egg cups filled with gerbera or daisy heads around the house for a very Easter like decoration. Another great way to use fresh flowers this Easter:  Step 1 –Choose your favourite colourful flowers and using only the heads glue them to a polystyrene ring. Step 2 – Suspend it from a ribbon anywhere you like. Step 3 – Admire and awe over your very own wreath. Tip: Hang it in a cool place and they should last over the weekend for all your Easter visitors to see.

This isn’t the only way to use flowers for the Easter celebrations, go the distance and send a bouquet of springtime blooms to a friend or family member who is away over the holiday, this way you can make them feel right at home and thought of.
